Everyone knows by now that Deadpool & Wolverine delivered what the fans wanted. And while it won’t be one of the best movies of the year, it is one of the most lucrative ones, as the fans loved it. The movie is also ushering in a new era of MCU films. Plus, we finally got to see Deadpool and Wolverine share the screen.
Now, as you know – and we have written about it extensively – the movie featured a lot of cameos, some old, some new. One of the most talked about ones was Henry Cavill’s cameo as a variant of Wolverine from one of the universes that Deadpool visited.
And while nothing further has been explored in that direction, a popular – yet not always reliable – Twitter user, , claims that Henry Cavill still has a future at Marvel and that the Deadpool & Wolverine cameo was just the beginning.
This rumor was, as we’ve said, revealed on Twitter (now X) by , who posted the following information on the social media platform:

No details have been provided and there is no source for this rumor either, so we advise you to take it with a grain of salt, as is not the most reliable source of rumors as far as the entertainment industry is concerned. We’re not claiming it’s a false rumor, but we cannot confirm its authenticity.
Rumors about Cavill’s further involvement with the MCU have been circulating for some time now, so this one doesn’t bring anything new to the slot, but it doesn’t hurt to mention it, as many fans really want to see more of Cavill, either as the Wolverine variant or in a different MCU role (he has been fan-cast in many different roles). I cannot overstate how cool it looks to me when he pretty much shakes the claws out and walks up to punch Deadpool. I don’t know, there is some visceral “dontevenfuckinthinkaboutit” in the movie. Absolutely love it.
