The promotion will hold events in new markets including South Africa, India, and Saudi Arabia.

UFC announced an expansion of its international event schedule on Tuesday, revealing plans to hold Fight Night events in new markets including South Africa, India, and Saudi Arabia as part of a strategic push to grow the sport globally.

The announcement marks UFC's first official events in South Africa and India, while Saudi Arabia will host multiple events following successful previous shows in the kingdom. The expansion builds on UFC's growing international fan base.

"These markets represent significant growth opportunities for UFC and mixed martial arts," said UFC Executive Vice President of International Operations. "We have seen tremendous interest from fans in these regions, and bringing live events to them is the natural next step."

The South Africa event will be held in Cape Town, utilizing a temporary arena setup that can accommodate 15,000 fans. The India event will take place in Mumbai at a purpose-built facility. Saudi Arabia will host events in both Riyadh and Jeddah.

Local promoters in each market will partner with UFC to manage ticket sales, venue operations, and local marketing. The events will feature regional fighters where possible, a strategy designed to build local star power and fan engagement.

The expansion comes as UFC faces increasing competition from other MMA promotions internationally. The company has committed to maintaining its core U.S. event schedule while building the international portfolio.
