New Rumor Teases Tom Holland's 'Spider-Man 4' Will Be Titled 'Spider-Man: King in Black'

The reason Spider-Man’s story is the most complex one of any MCU superhero is because Sony, not Marvel Studios, owns the character’s rights. Consequently, there was no relationship of any kind between the first several Spider-Man films and the main MCU films. But once Tom Holland took control, Sony and Marvel worked together to produce three films starring the young star.

Although we don’t currently know much about the upcoming Spider-Man 4 other than Kevin Feige’s confirmation that it is being worked on, there are a lot of rumors about the upcoming film, and a lot of them are related to the assumed connection between that movie and the Venom series.

This was teased in No Way Home, when Venom accidentally ended up in the MCU, but was returned home, with a fragment of the symbiote remaining in the MCU. Now, with Venom: The Last Dance coming out and introducing Knull, the most recent rumors are focused on that aspect and some fans claim to have found out the name of the fourth movie.

Not that long ago, a major rumor broke online, claiming that the title for the upcoming Spider-Man 4 movie has been revealed:

This was later shared by a more reliable rumor source, giving credibility to the above tweet:

Now, it is absolutely clear where this is coming from. Recent rumors have been building on the fact that Knull is coming to the big screen and that his debut will be more of a cameo, with more appearances later. Since the story of the Symbiotes is tied to that of Spider-Man, it is obvious that everyone is forcing the connection between these two universes and that the rumors are coming from there.

And while it is quite clear that Knull will clash with Spider-Man, it is unclear whether it will be in Spider-Man 4 and whether he will actually be Tom Holland’s principal villain, or the villain of another Spider-Man; if you remember, Garfield was often rumored to be the Spider-Man of the SSU.

As for the rumor about the title, if the connection is true, it would make sense, but there is one major issue – the MCU movies have been built on the foundation of the “Home” aspect, so this title would be a massive change, and we don’t know whether Marvel is ready to rebrand Tom Holland.

On the other hand, the three movies were dubbed the “Home trilogy,” which might imply that the MCU is moving away from the three original movies.

Be that as it may, the rumor is there, and you should keep following us for all the latest news and updates!
