There’s a new rumor going around that might excite us. According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Logan Kim, who you might know from Ghostbusters: Afterlife and its sequel Frozen Empire, has reportedly been cast as Amadeus Cho in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
If this turns out to be true, it’s a pretty big deal for Marvel. Amadeus Cho is an exciting character who could bring something new to the table. He’s known for being a genius, one of the smartest people in the Marvel world, and he’s got a unique connection to some of the biggest names in the MCU. Cho isn’t just another brainiac, though. He eventually takes on the role of the Hulk himself, becoming “The Totally Awesome Hulk.” Imagine the possibilities of that in the MCU!
But what about Logan Kim? He’s a young actor who showed off his comedic chops and on-screen presence in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Now, we might see him dive into a more action-packed role. With Amadeus Cho being younger and full of potential, Kim seems like a fitting choice for the character. The MCU is known for its long-term plans, and casting a younger actor for a key character makes sense if Marvel wants to keep expanding its universe with fresh faces.
So, how could Amadeus Cho fit into the MCU right now? The most obvious connection is through Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo. Cho has been linked to Hulk in the comics, and we’ve seen how the MCU loves bringing in characters with ties to already established heroes.
Since we’re seeing more legacy characters—like the younger Avengers and potential Hulk successors—Cho could slide right into that space. Plus, with the recent emphasis on science and technology in the MCU, his character would fit perfectly into the growing roster of genius minds alongside Shuri and Reed Richards.
If Marvel goes this route, we might even see him interact with some of these characters, and who knows? Maybe we’ll get the totally awesome version of the Hulk in the future.
