Since the release of the latest major trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, people have been discussing one thing, and one thing only – the unexpected revelation that Knull is coming to the franchise. This revelation proved that many fan theories about the true antagonist of the Venom series were correct, and it also confirmed that a long-running rumor was true.
So, as you know, Knull, the menacing overlord of the Symbiotes, will make his on-screen debut in Venom: The Last Dance.
This is significant because it’s clear that Sony wants to give Venom and Eddie a respectable sendoff in a high-profile movie, and the strategy seems to be working since interest in the movie is growing.
But, at the same time, our knowledge of Knull’s role in the movie is limited, which constantly gives birth to numerous fan theories about the character, and in this one, we are going to bring you one such theory or, more precisely, a rumor from a generally very reliable insider.
Now, as we’ve said, Knull’s debut has been confirmed, but we still don’t know – officially, at least – who is playing him and what the character’s role is going to be, which is why there are so many rumors and theories going about.
to discuss Knull’s motivation in the movie, and a popular and reliable insider provided us with a possible motive behind Knull’s appearance.
This hint/rumor was, as we’ve said, revealed on Twitter (now X) by , who posted the following information on the social media platform:

In the comics, Carnage Born delves into Knull’s origin story. The narrative opens with Cletus Kasady in prison, grappling with the torment of his past. It thoroughly examines his connection to the Carnage symbiote, illustrating how their bond has impacted him both physically and mentally.
The story unveils Knull, the ancient god of the symbiotes, and his crucial role in Carnage’s resurgence. As Knull attempts to regain control over his symbiotes, he exerts his influence over Kasady, resulting in a powerful and terrifying transformation.
So, as you can see, Alex P. believes that Venom: Carnage Born holds the truth to Knull’s appearance, and here is what the fans suggested:
When Venom ate Carnage, it infected the Symbiote hive mind and will create Carnage’s cult?

THEY NEED TO KILL EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER BONDED WITH A SYMBIOTE IN ORDER TO AWAKEN KNULL, INCLUDING SOME SPIDERMEN?

Venom needs a Spider-Man that has NOT bonded with a Symbiote yet in order to fight Carnage and/or Knull? Is this how Andrew Garfield could enter the picture??
— Austin Medeiros (@Austin_Medzz) September 30, 2024
And that's why he'll need Spider-Men that have bonded with symbiotes in the Multiverse as well.

Knull wants the codices to increase his power and fully break free from his prison.

So, which one do you think Alex is referring to? We’re going to help you – it’s the last one. Several fans have commented on this possibility, and it seems that Alex is referring to that one specifically, it would make a lot of sense, seeing that this plan could easily fit into the story.
But, it could also allow Knull to appear in the MCU, as a fragment of Venom was left there, so it would give him an excuse to enter that universe as well.
This definitely seems like an exciting prospect and we hope that Sony and Marvel decide to build on this theory, as it would actually make up for a brilliant Knull storyline in the franchises.
