Scheduled for a 2025 release, ‘Ironheart’ is rumored to echo the feel-good, youthful vibe of ‘Ms. Marvel,’ and it might reveal a new layer to its lead character, Riri Williams, portrayed by Dominique Thorne.
The word on the digital streets is that Riri Williams will be identified as bisexual in the series. This reveal, if true, marks a notable departure from her portrayal in comic books where she has only had heterosexual relationships. The scoop comes from @marvel_updat3s on Twitter, known for their reliable leaks, including accurate calls on various Marvel projects and casting decisions.
The account stirred excitement on September 25th by hinting at the series’ direction and character development. The leak also mentioned that the first episode would run for about 50 minutes and had received a positive response at its initial screenings. Interestingly, Daniel ‘DanielRPK’ Richtman had hinted at this exact development about Riri’s sexuality way back in February 2021, adding weight to the recent updates.
