It looks like Marvel Studios has something exciting in store for Silver Surfer fans. According to insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel is actively developing a new project centered around the iconic cosmic character. And there’s more: Matt Shakman, who directed WandaVision, is reportedly on board as a producer for this project.
What’s unclear right now is whether this story will focus on Norrin Radd, the Silver Surfer’s original alter ego, or Shalla-Bal, who has also played a significant role in the Silver Surfer saga. Both characters have deep connections to the cosmic side of Marvel, so either direction could bring something fresh to the table. If the focus shifts to Shalla-Bal, we could see a different take on the Silver Surfer’s story, which would add even more layers to the cosmic universe Marvel’s been building.
With Matt Shakman involved, it’s likely this project could capture the same kind of magic WandaVision did, blending storytelling with strong character development. We still don’t know exactly what direction the series or film will take, but with the Silver Surfer’s vast history and powerful abilities, this project could really stand out in Marvel’s growing slate of cosmic adventures.
For now, we’ll just have to wait and see which path Marvel chooses for Silver Surfer, but this project already sounds like something to get excited about.
