‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is the upcoming installment in the MCU that fans are eagerly anticipating. Scheduled for release in theaters on February 14, 2025, the film has already unveiled its first trailer.
This marks Sam Wilson’s debut as Captain America in a standalone film, and it will also introduce Thaddeus Ross as the Red Hulk, as confirmed in the trailer.
Based on the information available so far, the film will center on Sam Wilson as he attempts to rally the Avengers at the request of Thunderbolt Ross, only to discover that Ross has hidden agendas.
The storyline will also explore the presence of a deceased Celestial emerging from Earth’s surface, which leads to the production of adamantium, one of the strongest metals in the universe.
However, that’s not all. A Reddit user known as elemeno-peacuare recently claimed to have attended a test screening for the film and leaked the entire plot online. While we can’t verify the authenticity of this leak, some details closely align with information shared by industry insiders over the past few years.

The film opens with Sam Wilson on a mission aimed at the Serpent Society, a group linked to a mysterious package containing adamantium. The story kicks off when Giancarlo Esposito’s character, Sidewinder, takes nuns hostage while delivering clichéd villainous dialogue about securing the package.
Sam engages in a fierce battle with a member of the Serpent Society armed with golden “fang” knives, showcasing his combat skills as he overcomes the super-soldier-level adversary before reinforcements can arrive. Unfortunately, Sidewinder manages to escape, setting the stage for future confrontations.
After this initial clash, Sam decides to train his partner, Joaquin, with the mentorship of Isaiah Bradley. This portion of the film includes a training montage that highlights their physical conditioning and teamwork.
Shortly after, Sam receives an invitation to the White House, and he brings Isaiah and Joaquin along for a celebratory ride in a limo. Upon their arrival, they pose for a photo with President Ross, who expresses a desire to get to know Isaiah better.
As the plot progresses, President Ross urges Sam to take the lead of the Avengers, prompting a tense discussion about their differing approaches. The situation escalates when Ross narrowly escapes an assassination attempt by a mind-controlled Isaiah and other soldiers.
In the chaos that follows, Sam pursues Isaiah into the streets, where he finds him disoriented and confused, ultimately leading to Isaiah’s arrest. Later, Sam and Joaquin review security footage from the White House, uncovering that flashing lights from phones triggered the mind control over Isaiah and the other soldiers.
Determined to find the mastermind behind this manipulation, Sam and Joaquin investigate and come across the mysterious Leader, played by Tim Blake Nelson. The Leader has been in frequent contact with Ross, who sought his assistance due to health issues, which has resulted in Ross’s condition becoming linked to the Leader’s ability to transform into a Hulk-like form when his blood pressure spikes.
Meanwhile, Ruth (Sabra) works to contain Isaiah after yet another assassination attempt in prison, leading to a brief alliance with Sam and Joaquin as they follow leads that point to the Leader.
They eventually reach Stark Technologies, where they encounter Amadeus Cho, a supposedly brilliant engineer, though his performance leaves much to be desired.
Meanwhile, President Ross faces challenges in international diplomacy as he seeks to negotiate a peace treaty amid rising tensions with Japan, which believes the United States has unlawfully acquired its adamantium.
This conflict escalates into a dramatic showdown featuring American and Japanese battleships, culminating in a massive CGI battle near Tiamat in the Indian Ocean. The thrilling scene includes Torres falling into the ocean, only to be rescued by a medic.
While Torres is recovering in the hospital, Bucky Barnes makes a brief visit to check on Sam, delivering a clever quip about his exit from the film.
Tensions rise when Ross realizes he has been manipulated by The Leader, who aims to create discord among world leaders. During a press conference, mind-control sounds suddenly play, causing Ross to Hulk out in front of a stunned audience.
Sam ultimately confronts The Leader, who underestimates him due to his lack of super-soldier enhancements. This leads to a fierce battle in the White House, echoing real-life events. The fight concludes with Sam stabbing one of his wings into Ross’s side, forcing him to revert to his human form, albeit badly injured.
In the aftermath, Ross finds himself imprisoned in the Raft, where he has a heartfelt conversation with Sam, who expresses gratitude for Ross’s willingness to take accountability for his actions. This exchange paves the way for Ross’s emotional reunion with his daughter, Betty.
The film wraps up with Sam visiting Torres in the hospital, sharing a light-hearted moment as they joke about Torres’s Miami roots and the potential of acquiring new wings from Wakanda.
In a mid-credit scene, Sam engages in a brief conversation with The Leader in the Raft, discussing possible plans for Amadeus Cho while alluding to an impending threat. However, the film leaves several storylines unresolved, including Isaiah’s arc and the anticipated formation of a new Avengers team under Sam’s leadership.
The original plot leak remains on Reddit, as it hasn’t been taken down yet. From this leaked information, it appears that some rumors from months ago may hold true, suggesting that the MCU is indeed working toward setting up the World War Hulk event across multiple films.
