The Incredible Hulk was released in 2008, around the same time as Iron Man, and it was the second movie in what would eventually become the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, it is also one of the most controversial movies in the MCU, as it doesn’t really have the same status as the other MCU movies.
The reasons for that are numerous, but the biggest problem with this movie is the fact that the MCU replaced Edward Norton with Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, in the MCU’s biggest recast to date, as it is the only time that a major hero has actually been recast.
And while Ruffalo has done good with the role and is preparing for more time on the screen, it seems – based on a rumor by DanielRPK, a reliable insider – that the MCU is preparing for a post-Hulk Hulk or, at least, an era with two Hulks in the main MCU (or three if you count She-Hulk).
In case you don’t know, Amadeus Cho is a relatively new character that Marvel introduced in 2005. He was created by Greg Pak and Takeshi Miyazawa and is one of the characters that has had a lot of relatively important, albeit recurring roles in modern Marvel Comics stories. He is always depicted as a superhero but has had several aliases throughout his comic book appearances.
In the comics, Pythagoras Dupree presents a “young genius” competition, which Amadeus Cho enters and easily wins. In an attempt to maintain his ranking as the sixth smartest man in the world, Dupree attempts to assassinate Cho.
Amadeus escapes when his parents are slaughtered, but Cho’s parents are slain. When the Hulk saves him from some of Dupree’s men, Cho considers the Hulk a friend and strictly views him as heroic and reactive to the aggression of others.
The next time we see the character is during the World War Hulk crossover event when he assembles a gang of the Hulk’s former teammates from the supergroup Champions, Angel and Hercules.
They try but are unable, to stop the Hulk with Namora’s help. However, Cho took over as the Hulk from Bruce Banner in The Totally Awesome Hulk #1 (2015), taking the alias Brawn. Cho is a self-assured guy who enjoys his newfound skills, in contrast to Banner, who feels that his Hulk powers are a burden.
Why this introduction? Well, look at the tweet:

As you can see, DanielRPK claims that Amadeus Cho is coming to the MCU and that he will be played by Ghostbusters alumn Logan Kim, who is definitely a great casting choice. No plot details have been revealed, but it seems that Marvel is thinking ahead, as Cho will probably be introduced in a smaller role before ultimately replacing Banner or working alongside him. In any case, we’re in for a very interesting development.
