The Star Wars franchise is loaded with upcoming projects, including James Mangold’s film set thousands of years in the past and a new story featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu.

Another highly anticipated film will focus on Rey’s efforts to rebuild the Jedi Order 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker, though it’s reportedly facing challenges. Meanwhile, Dave Filoni is hard at work on Ahsoka Season 2 and several other new ventures. Amid this flood of content, fans continue to ask about the possibility of Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2.

Ewan McGregor, who famously portrayed the iconic Jedi, has consistently expressed his desire to return to the role, believing there are still many untold stories. Fans have been enthusiastic about his eagerness to revisit the character.

During his appearance at Los Angeles Comic-Con, McGregor provided an exciting update on the possibility of a Season 2, revealing that they are “exploring” the idea of continuing the series. He also shared his hopes to don the Clone Wars armor again and to collaborate with Hayden Christensen in more Prequel-era flashbacks, similar to those seen in Season 1.

This news is especially promising given that the show’s director initially hinted that Obi-Wan’s story was intended to wrap up after the first season.

I’m sure you can tell from the story that it is closed. We did obviously seem to tell one big story. Who knows, there’s ten more years before ‘A New Hope’ starts, so never say never.

The potential storylines for Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 are plentiful, though it’s still unclear if the series will continue. There’s nearly a decade of Obi-Wan’s time in exile on Tatooine between the end of Season 1 and the events of A New Hope that could be explored.

While another confrontation with Anakin would contradict the original trilogy, Season 2 could delve into Obi-Wan’s life on Tatooine, facing local threats or secretly watching over young Luke Skywalker from the shadows.
