Johnny Depp, 61, shocks fans with new teeth

At 61, Johnny Depp stuns with his amazing new teeth a year after the public mocked him for his “rotting” ones. ?

A Johnny Depp fan recently shared images and videos of the actor, drawing attention to a noticeable improvement in his teeth, which had previously been a topic of concern among his fans.

The post came from a bartender at Lorraine’s Cafe & High Tide in the Bahamas, who goes by @killerbartender on social media.

His recent footage of Depp captivated followers who were pleasantly surprised by the actor’s healthier-looking smile, which marked a significant change from his previously damaged teeth.

In the videos, Depp was seen tasting one of the bartender’s cocktail creations. Impressed, the actor praised the drink, humorously advising the bartender: “You better copyright this immediately.”

The clips also showed Depp standing next to a piece of artwork depicting him as Captain Jack Sparrow, his iconic character from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

The post quickly garnered attention, with many fans focusing on the actor’s improved appearance, particularly his teeth.

“Def got his teeth done! Looks so good,” one follower commented, echoing the thoughts of many.

Another fan noticed: “Is it [me] or do his teeth look more straight?”

Similarly, an observer remarked that his teeth appeared “brighter than ever before.”

One Instagram user summed it up perfectly, stating: “Hello new teeth! He looks great :).”

On X (formerly Twitter), some users speculated that Depp now wears dentures due to previous dental issues.

“Johnny Depp wears dentures now because his real teeth are clearly damaged. Or he probably got a tooth infection and had them all pulled,” one user suggested, offering an explanation for his changed smile.

In the first video shared by @killerbartender, Depp was shown enjoying a meal with friends before taking pictures with two fans by the Captain Jack Sparrow artwork.

In a second, longer video posted later, bartender Rap Rap Zoilo documented his late-night encounter with the star in Exuma. The footage captured Zoilo shaking hands with the 61-year-old Depp multiple times as the actor interacted with other patrons. Zoilo expressed his excitement about meeting the Hollywood icon, describing it as a “once-in-a-lifetime moment.”

The discussion around Depp’s teeth is not new. Back in May 2023, fans expressed their displeasure when photos surfaced of his decayed teeth during his appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.

At the time, social media users voiced their concerns, with one person writing, “Johnny Depp’s teeth are literally rotting away.” This comment accompanied an image of the actor at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in France, where his brown and rotting teeth were visible as he attended the screening of “Jeanne du Barry.”

Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time Depp’s dental choices had sparked debate. In 2003, while preparing for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, Depp made a bold decision to have gold caps placed on his front teeth to embody the character fully.

His choice shocked Disney executives and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who were initially uncomfortable with the look. “Jerry was slightly uncomfortable, and the Disney executives weren’t exactly enthusiastic about it,” Depp recalled in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

However, he stood by his decision, telling them: “‘Look, these are the choices I made. You know my work. So either trust me or give me the boot.’ And luckily, they didn’t.” Although he compromised by removing some of the gold caps, Depp’s dedication to the role became part of his legendary portrayal of the swashbuckling pirate.
