Captain America: Brave New World is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling entries in the MCU. This film marks Sam Wilson’s debut as Captain America in a standalone role and will feature a confrontation with Ross’ Red Hulk, potentially introducing Amadeus Cho as well.

Many fans have observed that the movie appears to lean more towards a Hulk-centric story than a traditional Captain America narrative, and I can’t help but agree. If the reports are accurate, Brave New World is set to launch the ‘World War Hulks’ storyline, which makes this direction understandable.

The movie’s plot has reportedly leaked online, but I won’t spoil it for you here. Let’s just say that Sam will need all the help he can get, and the film will set a solid groundwork for the Avengers’ resurrection.

Every team needs a leader, and if Alex Perez’s recent AMA is to be believed, Sam Wilson will step into that role—at least as a co-leader.

So far, the MCU Avengers have had three formal leaders: Steve Rogers first, followed by Tony Stark, and finally Black Widow. With Iron Man and Black Widow both deceased, and Steve choosing to live out his days with Peggy in an alternate timeline, the team is in need of a leader.

Sam Wilson is the logical choice, not only because he’s Captain America, but also because he demonstrated his worthiness and level-headedness during Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

However, Sam will share leadership duties, likely alongside Captain Marvel, who confronted her own challenges regarding honor and duty in the recently released The Marvels.

What are your thoughts? Who would you like to see leading the Avengers in the upcoming films? Let us know in the comments below!
