Broadcaster Kayla Nicole Brown dated Travis Kelce on and off from 2017 to 2022 before they broke up.
These days, Kelce is dating pop star Taylor Swift. The pair have been together for a little over a year now, much to the delight of Swift’s legions of loyal fans. As impressive as the passion of “Swifties” may be, some of them occasionally go overboard, which appears to be the case with the people who have made life tough for Brown online.
During an appearance on WNBA star Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, Brown said she has faced “hate” on social media from some overzealous Swift fans.
“I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just, like, online chaos didn’t impact me — it does. Even to this day,” Brown said.
“You can go to my most recent [social media] post and it will be people debating each other why I am worthless and I’ll never be a talented person and I have no career.”
While Brown’s comments have drawn blowback from some, others are coming to her defense on social media.
“Sad. Kayla you’re beautiful and your grace and composure is amazing!” one person commented.
“I knew her before Travis . I’m not a fan of the NFL so I actually found out who Travis was from her. I hate that fan base! They’re uncomfortably obsessed with that lady,” a second person added.
“The audacity that Taylor Swift fans have telling Kayla Nicole to get over talking about HER ex when asked, while Taylor has made billions doing it in songs for over a decade is absolutely diabolical work,” another person said.
“Aww how gorgeous she looks,” said a fourth commenter.
