Episode 3 of Agatha All Along made a direct reference to a major character from Marvel Comics: Mephisto. Although Mephisto has been alluded to in the 2012 Avengers film, this episode’s clear mention has rekindled fans’ hopes for his appearance in the series.

In WandaVision, fans were thrilled by subtle hints of Mephisto as a possible villain, only to be disappointed when he didn’t show up. However, with Agatha All Along, there is now a legitimate reason to feel optimistic about his potential involvement.

While Mephisto may not appear in Agatha All Along, he is anticipated to make an appearance in Ironheart, a Disney+ series scheduled for release in 2025.

Ironheart will focus on Riri Williams, who is considered Tony Stark’s successor in the MCU. This standalone series is described as a mix of technology, magic, and demons, with the young superhero likely needing to leverage her technical skills to confront supernatural threats.

Deadline reported two years ago that Mephisto would feature in the series, with Sacha Baron Cohen rumored to take on the role. Initially, Mephisto was expected to debut in Ironheart before Agatha All Along, but due to changes in the release schedule, fans will have to wait a bit longer.

In his latest AMA, Alex Perez from Cosmic Circus mentioned that Mephisto’s role in the show would be “very light.”

Fans have speculated that The Hood/Parker Robbins in Ironheart could be revealed as Nicholas Scratch, Agatha’s son, who was traded to Mephisto for the Darkhold. However, Alex Perez expressed uncertainty about the accuracy of this theory. When another fan inquired about Mephisto’s role in Ironheart, Alex clarified that it would be a very light supporting role.

Agatha All Along has done wonders for the supernatural aspects of the MCU, and fans are eager to see more. Unfortunately, it seems that Ironheart may not be the next step in that direction.
