'Agatha All Along' Might Have Just Set Up the Upcoming 'Blade' Movie

As everyone knows, the Oscar-winning actor, Mahershala Ali is set to star in the eagerly awaited Marvel Studios thriller Blade. It is hard to predict the outcome, or even whether the movie will be released at all because the project is now in an unusual stage of production, which we have reported on.

The fans definitely want to see the film, but we don’t think anything matters anymore except for the studio’s choice, seeing how deep the problem goes. Given this, it does appear, though, that Marvel has not given up on the project, since the company’s most recent hit series, Agatha All Along, may be laying the groundwork for the wider Blade narrative.

We have reported on the vampire reference in Episode 4 and what it could mean going forward, but there is another important aspect of that scene that could be related to the Blade lore going forward, especially when the question of a balance of powers comes to the forefront.

Although it appeared like a casual comment made in the story, the witch Lilia remarks, in passing, in Episode 4 of Agatha All Along, titled “If I Can’t Reach You / Let My Song Teach You,” that she has a vampire wound has healed.

This doesn’t seem to have any implications for the plot of the series, but it does seem to tell us more about the balance of power between the witches and the vampires in the MCU.

As we have theorized, Lilia’s vampire bite suggests that there may be an ongoing conflict between the witches (and perhaps werewolves) and the vampires.

Since Marvel’s next phase may be supernatural, as we have reported, this moment could be crucial moving forward. However, we don’t know how deep-rooted this is, i.e., if this was an isolated incidence or a symptom of something systemic.

Having said this, the scene implies that witches are either immune to vampire bites or have a way of countering them since Lilia does not turn into a vampire after being bitten by one.

The series hasn’t really expanded on this, so we don’t know if it is magic, immunity, or some concoction, but this could be an important fact going forward into the supernatural phase of the MCU.

In the comics, magic is not listed as a known cure for vampirism. We know that Hulk’s radioactive blood is able to stop the transformation, as well as the Heart-Shaped Herb of Wakanda, and we also know that killing the vampire who transformed you can reverse the transformation.

We shall see whether this proves to be relevant or not, but it is definitely an interesting observation.
