But players from both teams squared up after a “naughty incident” on 24 minutes.

Garnacho was attempting to get past Kingsley Coman, but ended up sending the Bayern winger into the pitchside hoardings.

And the Old Trafford drop off between the pitch and advertising boards is a steep one.

Coman had used his strength to block Garnacho’s run, but the 19-year-old tried to keep his balance which sent the Frenchman flying.

His Bayern team-mates raced over to square up to the United man, who soon had Rasmus Hojlund and Raphael Varane backing him up.

But a different angle now shows Kane’s angry expression as he was the first player who sprinted towards the young Argentinian.

Kane stopped just before Garnacho’s face, as the United youngster walked in the opposite direction.

Fans heaped praise on Alphonso Davies, who acted as a barrier between the England captain and Garnacho.

Luckily, Coman got away with it unharmed, and the referee was eventually able to continue the game without being called for anything.

Coman ultimately had the last laugh when his goal in the 71st minute eliminated United from the European competition.

But when Kane spoke with Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes, two United greats, and the TNT Sports crew, he was beaming.

The Red Devils finished bottom of Group A, having lost four out of six games and only winning once. This is a new low for them in the Champions League.
