And speculation that he could leave Arrowhead Stadium has ramped up after the Chiefs snapped up a new tight end.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has signed Jody Fortson from their practice squad to the active roster.

And the signing of Forston – which comes a little less than two months after he was cut by the Miami Dolphins – has convinced American football fans that Kelce’s Chiefs days are numbered.

One wrote on X: “Travis Kelce’s replacement has arrived.”

Another said: “Travis is playing so bad they got to active Jody Fortson.”

And another said: “Travis Kelce’s career is over.”

Another chimed in: “How much help does Patrick Mahomes need?”

Four-time All-Pro star Kelce is hoping to lead the Chiefs to an unprecedented third Vince Lombardi Trophy under Reid this season.

And the beau of music sensation Taylor Swift is staying focused on the task at hand, despite the uncertainty over his future.

When asked how he’d react to being given a diminished role this season, Kelce said: “I probably wouldn’t listen to them if they did.

“You get more comfortable with your body. You learn things from the mistakes you made in years past and things like that.

“You just constantly keep getting better and keep getting more aware of where your body’s at.

“I’m excited. I get to play another year of football [with a] fresh slate.

“Get to kind of prove to ourselves and Chiefs Kingdom that we’re one of the top dogs and we can play at a high level.”

The Chiefs will be back in action on Sunday night, traveling to Levi’s Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers.
