Marvel has just announced that Scarlet Witch will return, not on the big screen, but in an all-new Disneyland Paris live show titled ‘Doctor Strange: Mystery of the Mystics.’ This November, visitors to Disneyland’s Avengers Campus will witness Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange joining forces once again, promising a spectacle of magic and camaraderie.
The duo, recognized as the most potent magic wielders in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and perhaps the comics—though I’m not totally up-to-date on the latest issues—are set to dazzle audiences with their powers.
This comes as a pleasant surprise especially since many, including myself, felt let down by their somewhat limited showdown in ‘Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness.’ Despite the high stakes, their confrontation left fans wanting more, and it ended with the regrettable death of Scarlet Witch.
While we won’t be seeing them together in a new movie anytime soon, this live show offers a unique opportunity to see the characters interact in a dynamic new setting. Previous Doctor Strange shows at Disneyland have been met with positive reviews, noted for incorporating the MCU’s signature humor and impressive special effects.
On another exciting note, rumors suggest that Scarlet Witch might play a significant role in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ Speculation is also swirling around a comic book storyline where she loses her memory and falls under the care of Doctor Doom, potentially setting her up for another villainous turn in future films.
Although it’s unclear when Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange will team up again on film, this live show could hint at future collaborations and story arcs. Here’s hoping it delivers more thrills and showcases their abilities far better than their last cinematic outing.
