After the collapse of the original DCEU, which was headed by controversial filmmaker Zack Snyder, Warner Bros. decided to start from the beginning and James Gunn was soon brought in to revamp the whole cinematic universe, along with Peter Safran.
The two of them are currently building their DCU, which is going to have its big theatrical premiere next year when Superman comes out.
And while several television projects have either come out or will premiere soon, the DCU is still a project we know little about, i.e., we know more about its future than its present. This, of course, means that rumors can run rampant and in this report, we have one very interesting rumor for you.
Namely, a popular DC rumor mill claims that popular actress Adria Arjona is coming to the DCU. The post has not been corroborated by anything, but this is definitely an exciting rumor that has us wondering – who could she be playing?
As we’ve stated, this is just a rumor, so please take it with a grain of salt, as there is no official confirmation of the fact from anyone at DC Studios, and rumors have been proven wrong on many occasions. In fact, there is a good chance that James Gunn himself might comment on this soon. Here is the rumor:

As you can see, the post doesn’t reveal much and we don’t really have anything to go on this time, but we’ll see what time reveals. What interests us here is – who could she be playing?
Well, we don’t really know what Gunn’s plans are, but the fans are in agreement – and so are we – that Adria Arjona would be the perfect pick for the DCU’s Wonder Woman, because she looks the part and has the vibe that would fit the character perfectly.
We know everyone loved Gal Gadot, but she probably won’t be returning to the role, so if Gunn is looking for a replacement, Arjona is definitely someone he can go with, and the fans would love it.
At the same time, it is possible that she will but not in the same role, probably.
Of course, there are other potential roles she could take on, like Green Lantern Jessica Cruz, the magician Zatanna, for example, or a villain role in the DCU, but that list would be very, very long.
Wonder Woman is the best pick, in our opinion, but we will see how this goes. As for the fans, here is what they are saying about this rumor and the potential role Arjona could be playing if it turns out that she is, indeed, coming to the DCU:
