The Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions have quietly started a rivalry over the years and a lot of the heat is centered around Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis.

A day after the Lions’ 47-9 beatdown of the Cowboys, St. Brown shared a screenshot of a direct message from Lewis, calling St. Brown “a b-tch”

The disdain between the two stems from a July episode of The Pivot Podcast where St. Brown said Lewis was one of his “least favorite” cornerbacks int he nFL before going on to say that the defensive back was “talking crazy, like some sh-t I’ve never heard before” when the Lions and Cowboys played last year.

“He was talking crazy out of pocket,” St. Brown said. “Even [Lions wideout Jameson Williams] heard it, too. He was coming in. At that point, it’s like, I don’t know what he’s saying. I’m trying to make plays, win the game. I’m not worried about him. But once he starts talking like that, it’s like, all right, if I do get a chance to kill him, I’ma kill him.”

Lewis, who’s a native of Detroit, chimed in and said he doesn’t “want to be friends with everyone, especially a Detroit Lion not from Detroit.”

Dallas kept St. Brown in check for the most part. The two-time Pro Bowler finished with four receptions for 37 yards and one touchdown on four targets.

A rematch might happen in the playoffs. The Lions occupy the top spot in the NFC wild-card race, and the Cowboys are still just a game back of the first-place Washington Commanders in the wide-open NFC East.
