During a Democratic campaign rally in Phoenix, Arizona, Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston endorsed Kamala Harris and made a speech about protecting women’s reproductive rights

Bryan Cranston spoke at a Democratic campaign rally and shared why he’s supporting Kamala Harris for president.

The Breaking Bad actor has previously been open about his support for the Vice President, and he’s not the only celebrity who has vouched for Kamala. This weekend Bryan spoke at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona where the focus was reproductive rights.

He took the podium and told the crowd: “I am not a politician. I am not a doctor or a lawyer, but I played all of those on television.” The crowd laughed for a moment before Bryan’s speech turned serious.

“But I am a father of a daughter, and it’s important to me for her life now and for the future and other father’s daughters to be able to have within their life their fundamental right of freedom of choice,” he continued.

Bryan added: “There should not be anyone but them deciding what happens to their own bodies. And that’s why I’m enthusiastically supporting Vice President Harris and Governor Walz.”

Fans of the Walter White actor shared their excitement over Bryan’s support. “THIS is what Ive been waiting to hear. So important. Thank you, Bryan,” one fan wrote on X, formally known as Twitter.

Reproductive rights have been one of the key factors in this upcoming presidential election. Kamala and her running mate Tim Walz are supportive of a woman’s right to choose.

Meanwhile, Republican opponents Donald Trump and JD Vance are more conservative. When Trump was in office, he instated three Supreme Court judges who were critical in overturning Roe v Wade.

Bryan first showed support for Kamala during a virtual town hall event hosted by Oprah Winfrey. Various A-listers joined in via Zoom to show their support for the vice president including Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Jennifer Lopez, Tracy Ellis Ross, Julia Roberts, and Meryl Streep.

During the town hall, Bryan said: “I am smiling from ear to ear Oprah. I have never felt this much joy and optimism in a campaign in a long time.”

He added: “Im so appreciative of Kamala for bringing back that sense of optimism and squashing the cynicism and vitriol in Washington. I hope we ride this wave into Washington. Im here to support, and I couldnt be happier with this candidate. I think shes going to be a terrific president.”
