A new image showing Patrick Mahomes’ stats for the current 2024 NFL season suggests that the Kansas City Chiefs are a very scary team based on their record, plus the fact that their most prominent names aren’t even playing as well as they can.
The Chiefs haven’t lost in five games this season despite their offense performing below standard and dealing with multiple injuries.
The graphic below shows Mahomes is ranked No. 22 when it comes to passing yards, with 1,235, and is 16th in QBR with a 55.8 rating.

If you didn’t know the record beforehand, you’d be forgiven for assuming that the Chiefs were winless this year.
Instead, Mahomes has fired them to five straight victories ahead of their Week 6 bye, and fans can’t understand how they’ve managed to keep winning. They’ve also been debating over whether his performances so far warrant MVP consideration.
“This would be the worst mvp season of all time 😭 , which says a lot given Lamar’s mvp season last year,” a fan claimed.
“The only criteria for MVP now is be the QB on the best team,” wrote another.
“He shouldn’t even be touching mvp right now,” said a third.
“Because he’s doing it without a lot of talent around him at the wide receiver spot, having lost two of his starters,” someone argued.
“Dude lost his top two receivers and his starting RB. Has two scrub tackles, three WRs and two RBS that were dropped by other teams. Doesn’t matter keeps winning…he is the best QB,” another agreed.
Patrick Mahomes Has Made The Best Of A Dire Situation
To be fair, Mahomes has made the most of what he has had at his disposal so far.
Star tight end Travis Kelce did not get off to a great start, while offseason signing Marquise Brown has yet to play due to injury. The Chiefs have also lost Rashee Rice for, presumably, the rest of the campaign.
In any case, the AFC outfit has proven that they don’t need to be at their best to win games. They weren’t playing at the optimal level either last season but still won a second-straight Super Bowl.
They’re now in the chase for a third one on the bounce and wouldn’t surprise anyone if they succeed in capturing it, even with their offensive struggles.
