Jennifer Lawrence’s reps have confirmed that she’s pregnant with her second child.

A representative for the actor confirmed the exciting baby news to Vogue.

After marrying husband Cooke Maroney in October 2019, the couple welcomed son Cy, who is now two years old.

The actor confirmed the arrival of her first child with Maroney while speaking to Ellen DeGeneres.

The talk show host – who used to live in the house now occupied by Lawrence – said: “Now I live next door to you, and I’m looking at you living in my house with a brand new baby.

“By the way, I do hear you sometimes talking to him, and it’s really cute.”

The No Hard Feelings actor also sat down for a chat with Kylie Jenner for Interview magazine in 2023 to speak about parenting.

She revealed how her feelings towards security had changed since becoming a mom.

“I didn’t have that much security before I had a kid but, once I had one, with my intrusive thoughts and anxiety, I wanted us to have security around all the time,” she said.

Lawrence initially wanted her security team to be ‘invisible’ to her son, though her mind quickly changed.

“Once they start working for you, it’s like, ‘Well, wait. This is a person in our life. He’s helping us’,” Lawrence said about her security.

“That’s not really a good lesson to ignore the person that’s helping us. It’s probably better to say, ‘Say good morning to Sean. Hi. How are you?’”

The actor added: “We’ve incorporated them more in our lives, which surprised me. That wasn’t how I planned it.”

Last year, the Oscar-winning actor opened up about what life was like growing up in a Republican home, and how she’s had nightmares about conservative Fox News host, Tucker Carlson.

Lawrence, who grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, explained how she struggles to see eye-to-eye with her conservative family, particularly in light of Roe V Wade – with the overturning of the landmark case leaving millions of women in the US without access to safe abortions.

Lawrence went on to explain that no matter how hard she’s tried, she can’t get over their views: “I’ve tried to get over it and I really can’t. I can’t. I’m sorry I’m just unleashing, but I can’t f**k with people who aren’t political anymore. You live in the United States of America. You have to be political. It’s too dire. Politics are killing people.”

Speaking about the controversial case, she said: “I remember a million times thinking about it while I was pregnant. Thinking about the things that were happening to my body. And I had a great pregnancy. I had a very fortunate pregnancy.

“But every single second of my life was different. And it would occur to me sometimes: What if I was forced to do this?”
