Episode 6 of Agatha All Along finally clarifies several key mysteries surrounding The Teen. In last week’s episode, we confirmed that Teen is indeed Wiccan, also known as Billy Kaplan and the reincarnated Billy Maximoff.
This week, we finally learn how Billy has grown up and how he is alive at all, especially since the last time we saw the twins was when Wanda disintegrated them after coming to terms with her grief.
Billy’s first encounter with magic occurred during his Bar Mitzvah, where he surprisingly met Lilia Calderu, who was giving palm readings at the celebration.
Lilia’s initial indication that something was off came when she noticed that Billy’s life appeared divided into two parts: his past as Billy Kaplan and his future as Billy Maximoff.
She was the one who placed a sigil on Teen to prevent him from revealing his identity, although she couldn’t recall doing so. Agatha confirmed that the witch who cast the sigil likely wouldn’t remember it, and that it would be broken once it was no longer necessary.
At the end of the episode, when Agatha finally realizes that Billy is searching for his brother Tommy, she also confirms that the sigil has lost its power. Billy is taken aback when Agatha hears him calling his name, and she responds with:
Every witch with a beating heart can hear you now
This is clearly a reference to the fact that only living witches can hear him now. However, fans interpreted this differently, believing it confirms that Scarlet Witch is alive in the MCU and will be making her return soon.
The fact that Billy’s sigil appears to block all traces of his existence from witches could explain why Wanda was unable to sense him before.
We’ve already discussed how Agatha All Along effectively paves the way for Scarlet Witch’s return, so feel free to check that out. In the meantime, what are your thoughts? Is Scarlet Witch alive or dead? Share your opinions in the comments below!
