Travis Kelce had to skip the Eras Tour on Sunday night due to the NFL rudely scheduling a Chiefs game at the same time. But! Taylor Swift took a moment to shout him out amid the team winning against the 49ers (their sixth consecutive win in a row!).
As those of you unabashedly invested in T&T are well aware, Taylor typically changes the lyrics in “Karma” to “karma is a guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me” when Travis is at her shows. But last night, she closed out the show with Chiefs-themed lyrics despite Travis not being there. And naturally everyone thinks it was a nod to the team winning.
In case you’re curious about when Taylor will be able to attend another game, here’s what we know: the Chiefs’ next game is on October 27, which happens to be when Taylor is performing in New Orleans with Gracie Abrams. In other words, she is booked and busy.
The Chiefs then have a game against the Buccaneers on November 4, and Taylor is free! However, she’ll have just played a show in Indianapolis the day before, so it’s possible she’ll want to rest up.
On the other hand, the Buccaneers game is at Arrowhead Stadium, where Taylor is most comfortable due to security logistics. As a Page Six source put it “If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns. She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance.”
