Rachael Ray is speaking out for the first time about her health after fans have previously expressed concerns for her.
On the premiere episode of her new podcast I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead with guest, actress Jenny Mollen, on October 22, the former talk show host shared about her life at home with husband John Cusmino at their Lake Luzerne property in New York. She disclosed that she had to take a break from physically taxing tasks around the house and the reason for that.
“Im a homemaker. I love chores. I love being in the kitchen. I always work with my brain everyday, Im always writing something, but I really like chores,” she said. “I like what people consider physical work. I like making dinner, planning dinners, making lists. I love physical labor, helping carry in the wood.”

“Ive had a couple of bad falls in the last couple of weeks, so I havent been doing that in awhile, but I love carrying wood,” Rachael added.
The former Food Network host did not further elaborate on those falls and if it’s connected to a video (or the video itself) she posted in September on social media which caused alarmed with fans.
Last month, Rachael posted a video from her FYI series Rachael Ray in Tuscany. In the clip, she honored the late singer Tony Bennett by cooking his his favorite meal, ossobuco. Ossobuco is a cuisine from Lombardy, Italy that includes braised veal shank and vegetables.
She also shared an little anecdote of the time she “almost killed him” after inviting him and his wife Susan Crow over for dinner. She explained how she had to make sure her home was clean for his visit, which included polishing the floors. She admitted that she may have went a “little overboard” with them and blamed them for the incident.
“When I pulled out the chair for Tony to sit down for his starter snacks and aperitivo, the chair slid out from under him and he hit his head on my marble counter behind him, and he fell to the floor,” she said. ” I thought I killed Tony Bennett.”
While she spoke, fans made note of her speech as she spoke slowly and sounded like she was slurring. The post raised concerns and fans speculated it could be something wrong with her health or related to alcohol. Rachael’s representative responded “no comment” to TMZ when asked about the post.
