Travis Kelce Had 7

The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers have met twice in the Super Bowl recently. Travis Kelce seems to think we’re going to get matchup No. 3 in February.

Kansas City topped San Francisco, 28-18, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs improved to a league-best 6-0 with the win, while the injury-riddled, struggling 49ers dropped to 3-4 on the year. But while Kyle Shanahan’s team has been struggling, San Francisco remains an extremely talented and dangerous team, assuming it can make the playoffs. The 49ers are currently one game out of first place in the NFC West and 1.5 games out in the Wild Card race.

Kelce, who has won three Super Bowls in Kansas City, seems to think that the 49ers will make it back in February.

Kelce and George Kittle, two of the NFL’s best tight ends of the past decade, met up on the Levi’s Stadium field following Sunday’s Week 7 game. During their postgame handshake, Kelce had a 7-word message for the San Francisco 49ers star.

“Let’s do it again in February, bro,” Kelce told Kittle, referring to Super Bowl 59.

Super Bowl 59 is set to be played at the Caesar’s Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9. The Chiefs are currently favored to get there, as they are the NFL’s only undefeated team through seven weeks. But the 49ers are under .500 and have their work cut out for them when it comes to making a run at the postseason.

But few people would be surprised if we get another Chiefs vs. 49ers matchup in the Super Bowl this year, despite San Francisco’s struggles over the first month-plus of the 2024 regular season.
