NFL Fans Think Cole Beasley Intentionally Threw Some Massive Shade At Tom Brady In His Retirement Announcement

Is Cole Beasley upset about his lack of targets from Tom Brady during his two-week stint in Tampa?

That’s what some NFL fans are being led to believe after the former Bills wideout announced his retirement on Twitter earlier today.

Beasley took to social media to announce that he was officially hanging up the cleats after 11 seasons in the league. The 33-year-old had just been signed to the Buccaneers’ practice squad a few weeks ago, with the team dealing with numerous injuries and the suspension of Mike Evans.

Beasley played two games with the Bucs, totaling four receptions and 17 yards on five targets. And while it’s not really surprising to hear that he’s calling it quits at this point in his career, the manner in which he made the announcement has many wondering whether he was trying to take a jab at his now-former-quarterback.

According to NFL insider Mike Garafolo, Beasley’s agent Justin Turner had the following to say regarding his client’s retirement:

“He is ready to be with his family after playing in 11 seasons and it’s time to be a full-time dad and husband.”
