General Hospital fans are begging Scott to take Heather away as they deem her “unstable and a danger to society” after her release from prison.
During the Friday, October 25 episode of General Hospital, fans were floored as Heather Webber was officially released from prison after serving many years behind bars for her crimes in Port Charles. During her run on the soap, Heather has participated in many questionable behaviors including killing police officer Ross Duncan and framing Edward’s granddaughter, kidnapping Skye, selling her baby on the black market, having an affair, and much more.
But after landing herself in the hospital for an injury, Heather was delivered the news that she was diagnosed with a rare medical condition. During her stay, she was informed that she suffered from Metallosis, a type of lead poisoning that can lead to erratic behavior, after her hip surgery. After the diagnosis, Heather’s sentencing was reconsidered and she was released from prison early.

As Heather was finally freed, she was greeted by her son Scott, played by actor Steven Lars, as she exited the prison gates. As the mother-son duo was reunited once again, they took a trip to Bobbie’s where they caught up over some food. And as Heather spoke about her newfound freedom, Scott urged her that it would be best if she skipped town and joined him to start a new life in Sedona, Arizona.
After Scott’s proposal was shot down, General Hospital fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss their thoughts on Heather’s newfound freedom. One viewer wrote: “How do I know Heather is still unstable and a danger to society? She’s sitting in Bobbie’s ordering a BLT as if she hasn’t terrorized that town for nearly 40 years. Take her away Steven Lars.”
A viewer chimed in: “They are really going through with this ridiculous story. She was a criminal b4 and of that hip stuff. So some kinda poisoning can turn u into a serial killer?” One watcher interjected: “Why is she being redeemed? Guess it wasnt enough for viewers to get Peter, Cyrus, Esme with redemption stories and Gladys? Whoever is responsible for this needs to be fired! Laura better not be stuck with another houseguest!” While a fourth agreed: “So over this Heather Hip story…take her away Steven Lars!”
