Marvel Studios is focusing more on animated shows, and fans can expect many new series coming soon. They recently shared a short teaser with release dates for shows coming in 2024 and 2025. One of these shows is ‘Eyes of Wakanda,’ which has been in development for almost a year.

The series tells the story of Wakandan warriors who have traveled the world over the years to find dangerous vibranium artifacts. It was announced by Marvel Studios Animation in December 2023 and made with help from Ryan Coogler’s company, Proximity Media, which also worked on the ‘Black Panther’ movies. You can watch the teaser below:

The best part of the show is that it will be part of the official Marvel Cinematic Universe canon. Marvel TV executive Brad Winderbaum confirmed this a few months ago.

We’re exploring so many amazing avenues on the animated side. Eyes of Wakanda, more than any other show, fits right into our sacred MCU timeline continuity. [Black Panther director Ryan Coogler] is a producer on it, Todd Harris is one of our long-time storyboard artists who directs it.

It’s about Wakandan history and mythology, and it’s really cool. It looks amazing. And it feels like, ‘Okay I’m getting an animated look into the MCU.

The show will be available on Disney+ starting August 6, 2025, and it will be part of Phase 5 of the MCU. If you have anything to share, let us know in the comments below!
