Marvel sequels and reboots often keep fans on their toes; they can be hit or miss. We’ve recently faced the disappointing news that an eagerly awaited MCU movie was put on the back burner.
Concerns were mounting that the Werewolf by Night project might follow suit and get canceled without much notice.
However, exciting updates about a sequel to Werewolf by Night have surfaced, reigniting enthusiasm for the series.
The original television film, released on Disney Plus in 2022, didn’t make a huge splash but still boasts respectable ratings on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes.
Fans have been waiting for two years, a tough wait but not as lengthy as what Blade enthusiasts have faced. Michael Giacchino, the director of Werewolf by Night, recently hinted at progress towards a sequel.
He acknowledged the adjustments within Marvel’s creative direction but remains optimistic about continuing the story.
‘We’ll get there,’ he shared, giving fans a glimmer of hope that the universe he crafted is not forgotten.
Although details are sparse, the desire for more Werewolf by Night adventures is strong. We’re all rooting for Giacchino to dive deeper into the lore of these monster hunters.
Time will ultimately reveal if Marvel shares this enthusiasm for expanding this supernatural narrative. We’re keen to see what’s next for this intriguing creation.
