What Black Friday Streaming Deals Should You Expect in 2024?

Streaming services keep getting more expensive. Pretty much every streaming service had some sort of price hike this year, and if you want to watch everything, you can quickly end up with a massive monthly bill. As streaming prices continue to rise across the board, maybe you're hoping that Black Friday will come with potential savings.

What Black Friday streaming deals should you expect in 2024? We've taken a look at some of the discounts we saw last year as well as what's happened in the industry as a whole to try to figure that out. Here are our predictions of what deals you can expect this year.

The Disney+, Hulu, and Max Bundle Already Exists

Get the Disney+, Hulu, Max Streaming Bundle

Get the Disney+, Hulu, Max Streaming Bundle

$16.99/month with ads, $29.99/month ad-free.

Perhaps the most notable price increases this year were from Disney and Hulu. I switched to this bundle just to avoid paying way too much money each month. All in all, this is currently the best deal in streaming and will likely remain so through Black Friday season. The existence of this streaming bundle means we likely won't see any direct discounts on any of these services. If you haven't already shifted your individual subscriptions over to this bundle, we have a detailed guide on how to make the switch and save.

Although we don't expect discounts on Disney+, Hulu, or Max this November, it's certainly possible. If those do happen, here's what you might be able to expect for each one.

Will Disney+ Get a Discount?

Before the Disney+ price hike earlier in October of this year, there was actually a discount on the basic version of the service. The offer was for both existing and new subscribers and dropped the price of Disney+ basic with ads to $1.99 per month for three months. It's possible that Disney could do something similar for the basic Disney+ and Hulu bundle again ahead of the holidays, though it likely won't be as good of a price reduction. You can keep tabs on our guide to Disney+ deals for any ongoing offers.

Will Hulu Get a Discount?

Last year, the best overall Black Friday streaming deal was an offer that dropped the price of Hulu to just $1 per month for the first three months. With Hulu now costing $9.99 with ads, this was an incredible deal that we definitely won't see again this year. If Hulu does offer a discount on its basic service this year, it will most likely be closer to $1.99 per month for the first three months. You can see our guide to Hulu deals for any updates as we find them.

Will Max Get a Discount?

Back in 2023, Max had arguably the best streaming deal out of any of the services. The offer gave you the basic version of the service for $2.99 per month for six months. If Max does decide to do something similar this year, it will likely be more expensive and for less time: $3.99 per month for three months, for example. You can check the latest discounts on our updated guide to HBO Max deals.

Expect Amazon Prime Video Subscription Deals

Amazon Prime Free Trial

30 Days Free Amazon Prime Free Trial

Prime Video is included with an Amazon Prime subscription.

Some of the best streaming deals for Black Friday last year were actually a part of the Amazon Black Friday sale via Prime Video. Prime Video gives you the option to add additional services to your monthly bill through Amazon rather than directly through the service itself. Last year, Amazon ran a promotion that let you save up to 75% on select services when you added them to your Amazon Prime subscription. Here's a quick breakdown of the deals we saw in 2023:

  • Paramount+ – $1.99 per month for two months
  • Starz – $2.50 per month
  • AMC+ – $1.50 per month for two months
  • MGM+ – $1.50 per month for two months

For 2024, we expect to see similar deals as these through Amazon. We also expect there to be discounts available for folks who choose to sign up for Apple TV+ via Amazon now that it is available through Prime Video.

Peacock Will Most Likely Get a Big Discount

Peacock isn't as big as some of the other streaming services out there, but it has a surprising amount of content available, including new movies, episodes of The Office, and more. It also consistently offers discounts that make a subscription to Peacock a lot more affordable. Last year for Black Friday, Peacock was offering a 12-month subscription locked in at just $1.99 per month.

For 2024, we expect Peacock to offer another price reduction, but not nearly as generous as last year. My best guess is that we'll see something like $3.99 per month for the first six months. Considering Peacock does not have a free trial, a lower monthly price is the best way to test out the service.

Expect Paramount+ Deals From Multiple Places

Free Paramount+ Subscription with Walmart+

Free Paramount+ Subscription with Walmart+

Sign up for a free trial of Walmart+ for 30 days and get Paramount+ Essential plan for 30 days, free.

Like Peacock, Paramount+ isn't as big as Netflix, Hulu, or Max, but still has a good amount of original content and new movies to stream. Last year we saw a pretty significant discount on this service both directly and via Prime Video. This year we expect to see something similar, but with the addition of Walmart+ as the gateway into the service. The overall lowest price on the service will most likely be through the Prime Video add-on option we mentioned above, but you will also be able to get it for free via a Walmart+ subscription. Walmart is currently offering a 50% discount on this service ahead of Black Friday season, so you can already take advantage of this bundled subscription option.

Live TV Subscriptions Will Get Price Reductions

DirecTV Stream Free Trial5 Days Free

DirecTV Stream Free Trial

Some of the bigger streaming deals we see during any sales event are actually on live TV services. Streaming services that offer live TV tend to be quite a bit more expensive, but they are the best overall option if you're looking to watch live sports. The three services we expect to have the best overall discounts are DirecTV Stream, Sling TV, and fuboTV. DirecTV Stream will most likely match the sale price it was offering during Labor Day ($39 off for three months), and both Sling and fuboTV will most likely offer up to 50% off plans for the first month.

Netflix Will Not Offer Any Black Friday Deals

If you're hoping for any sort of discount on any of the available Netflix plans, you are going to be disappointed this year. Netflix has not offered a discount on its service for previous Black Friday sales and most likely won't make a change this year. The only potential discount you'll be able to find on Netflix this year is through T-Mobile's Netflix on Us benefit you get for signing up for select phone plans.
