Trade rumors have swirled around New Orleans Saint star cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

Multiple teams have contacted the Saints about the four-time Pro Bowl defender, including the back-to-back Super Bowl champion defending Chiefs, per ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter.

The NFL reporter added that Lattimore’s health has given his would-be suitors pause.

The 28-year-old missed New Orleans’ Week 9 loss to the Carolina Panthers due to a hamstring issue.

He had missed the Week 2 contest already and had dealt with a hip injury during training camp.

Schefter and The Athletic’s Dianna Russini did suggest that the Chiefs are still interested in making some moves.

Kansas City has already made two trades in the last few weeks, acquiring wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Tennessee Titans and defensive end Josh Uche from the New England Patriots.

Russi noted that another wideout and a “young, fast corner” on the team’s wish list.

Lattimore doesn’t necessarily fit the description of being “young” but he is still playing at a high level.

Through seven games this season, he has allowed a 69.1 rating to opposing quarterbacks, per Pro Football Focus.

Lattimore has posted 30 total tackles and two pass deflections.

With the Saints currently 2-7, receiving draft capital for Lattimore could be an option.

He is under control through 2026 and New Orleans fired head coach Dennis Allen on Monday after the brutal start.

The Chiefs, meanwhile, currently have a 7-0 record and are winning games thanks to the defense.

Star Patrick Mahomes has thrown just eight touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Steve Spagnuolo’s defense, however, has lost starting cornerback Jaylen Watson for the rest of the campaign due to a fractured ankle.

Lattimore could play alongside fellow outside corner and first-team All-Pro star Trent McDuffie.

And Kansas City adding Latimore would help a defensive unit that ranks No. 5 in total defense.

The Chiefs will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football in Week 9.
