Agatha All Along recently finished its last two episodes, wrapping up some character stories while hinting at more to come. The show was originally planned as a miniseries, which means it has a set number of episodes, like most MCU series on Disney+.
Now, new information has come out about the show’s status. Variety reports that Disney+ has chosen to enter Agatha All Along in the comedy category for the upcoming awards season, including the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and Emmys.
The show will compete against popular comedies like Abbott Elementary, The Bear, and Hacks. This means Hahn will face strong rivals like Jean Smart, Quinta Brunson, and Ayo Edebiri, making this a big chance for her to get recognized at the Emmys.
We believe that Agatha All Along is a strong contender for awards, but what interests us most is that it was submitted as a Comedy instead of a Limited Series.
This could suggest that the show isn’t finished yet, and given the great fan response, the studio might have decided to change its status.
There are strong rumors that Billy’s and Agatha’s stories will continue. There’s an upcoming show called Vision Quest starring Paul Bettany, which is said to be part of a trilogy with Agatha All Along and WandaVision. Recently, we also reported that the studio wants to create a standalone project for Wiccan, focusing on his search for his brother Tommy.
This kind of project leaves room for Agatha to shine, but we also wouldn’t mind her story continuing in a straightforward way like Agatha All Along.
