The MCU has many exciting projects lined up for the next few years. Some are confirmed and in development, while others, like Thor 5 and Midnight Sons, are still just rumors. One of the most popular MCU franchises is the Black Panther series, which has released two films and introduced many beloved characters.

Wakanda will play a major role in the Multiversal Saga, with several projects in the works, including Ryan Coogler’s Wakanda-focused TV series, an untitled Okoye series, and the animated show Eyes of Wakanda, set to release in 2025.

There have been rumors about Black Panther 3 being in development for months, and now Denzel Washington has confirmed it. In a recent interview with Today, the actor revealed that Ryan Coogler is currently writing a role for him in the upcoming Black Panther film, alongside discussing his other upcoming projects, including Gladiator 2.

I played Othello at 22, I’m now going to play it at 70. After that, I’m playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking with Steve Mcqueen about a film. After that Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther.

There it is—Black Panther 3 is officially in development, and Denzel Washington is set to appear in it.

This is particularly interesting because Denzel was recently rumored to be joining Doctor Strange 3 as Dormammu, a major villain from the Doctor Strange universe. Dormammu’s return was speculated after the introduction of his niece, Clea, in the MCU.
