Stranger Things Season 5: All Episode Titles Revealed as Netflix Confirms 2025 Release

In honor of Stranger Things Day (November 6, or the day in 1983 that Will Byers went missing), Netflix has released some highly anticipated new details about Season 5.

The teaser that the streaming platform posted on Wednesday (which you can watch here) didn't feature any footage, which may be a little disappointing for some fans. But it did reveal the names of every episode in the season, as well as confirm a 2025 release date.

We already knew about the first episode name, "The Crawl," but the rest of it is new and rife for speculation. It's worth noting that the name in the second episode title, "The Vanishing of _____," is blurred out. Stranger Things fans will also remember that it's a callback to the title of the series premiere, "The Vanishing of Will Byers."

See all the episode titles below:

  • The Crawl
  • The Vanishing of _______
  • The Turnbow Trap
  • Sorcerer
  • Shock Jock
  • Escape From Camazotz
  • The Bridge
  • The Rightside Up

That eight-episode count is in line with previous seasons, which were always comprised of eight or nine episodes. It doesn't tell us exactly how long the season will be, given that Season 4's episodes were sometimes feature-length (including a supersized two-and-a-half-hour-long finale). Previously, star Maya Hawke teased, “We’re making, basically, eight movies. The episodes are very long.”

Otherwise, the only other breadcrumb we get from the tease is a tagline: "In the fall of 1987, one last adventure begins." But, yeah, that's it.

Still, the confirmation of a 2025 premiere date is something of relief, if not largely expected. Production on the fifth and final season finally began in January following the resolution of last year's writers' and actors' strikes. In March, star Millie Bobby Brown said they had another nine months of filming left to go, meaning fans likely shouldn't expect Season 5 until roughly at least mid-2025. But we'll have to wait for a more solid release window from Netflix.

As for what else we know about Season 5, Netflix previously revealed that Terminator star Linda Hamilton will be joining the cast, while showrunners the Duffer brothers teased fans with some behind-the-scenes images. For more, check out our review of the last two episodes of Season 4.
