As we get ever closer to the launch of the PS5 Pro, we're discovering more games that will be enhanced for Sony's flagship console. Following on from the announcement line-up below, Sony has since confirmed the complete line-up of games that will benefit from PS5 Pro's extra grunt. Although we don't know what the specific benefits will be, at least we have an idea of how many games will look better when the console launches on November 7.
Sony revealed the PS5 Pro during a nine-minute presentation that touched on some of the enhancements the console will offer. Boasting better GPU performance, advanced ray-tracing, and AI-powered upscaling, the PS5 Pro aims to eliminate the choices many of us currently have to make between performance and fidelity modes. In short, it aims to give us both of those modes running at the same time, and as part of the reveal we saw glimpses of games that will be enhanced for PlayStation 5 Pro by offering up higher-resolution visuals that run at a smoother 60-frames-per-second.
As yet, specific enhancements have been mostly kept to first-party Sony games, but we have gotten a broader look at what games will make use of the hardware when it launches. Here are some of the games and how they're improved for PS5 Pro, and at the bottom is a list of every game enhanced for PS5 Pro.
Every Game Enhanced for PS5 Pro So Far
IGN's Twenty Questions – Guess the game!
IGN's Twenty Questions – Guess the game!
To start:…try asking a question that can be answered with a "Yes" or "No".000/250
Alan Wake 2
Thanks to the power of Remedy’s advanced Northlight engine, Alan Wake 2 was already one of the best-looking games on the PS5 platform. The PS5 Pro will hopefully take it to new heights, especially when it comes to the atmospheric lighting effects in the New York City-like Dark Place.
Albatroz
The indie backpacking game from Brazillian studio Among Giants is confirmed to feature PS5 Pro enhancements.
Apex Legends
EA's battle royale is set to receive PS5 Pro enhancements on launch day, though Respawn hasn't detailed exactly what to expect on the more powerful platform.
Assassin's Creed Mirage
With Assassin's Creed Shadows delayed until 2025, Ubisoft will still roll out PS5 Pro enhancements to an Assassin's Creed game when the new console launches later this week. Only it'll be for last year's Assassin's Creed Mirage instead.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Ubisoft has purposefully upgraded the Anvil engine for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, its upcoming feudal Japan-set historical adventure. The added power of the PS5 Pro will hopefully allow that engine to render a sprawling open world at 4K resolution with high frame rates, without having to sacrifice beautiful extras such as gusts of cherry blossom and tree pollen. Running at a steady 60fps will also keep the combat feeling as sharp as Yasuke and Naoe’s blades.
Baldur's Gate 3
Larian Studios' instant classic RPG will receive enchancements on the PS5 Pro, though Larian's often entertaining social media accounts haven't yet detailed what improvements we should expect to see.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Nevermind that it's the first Call of Duty game released under Xbox ownership, Activision's newest Black Ops game will be enhanced day one for PS5 Pro.
EA Sports College Football 25
This summer's revival of the beloved College Football game will now feature added benefits when played on the PS5 Pro on launch day.
Dead Island 2
The long-awaited sequel received an Ultimate Edition treatment earlier this year, and will now feature improvements when played on the PS5 Pro.
Demon’s Souls
Despite being a launch title released back in 2020, Demon’s Souls remains one of the most visually arresting games on PS5. The standard version features a Cinematic mode, which has all the bells and whistles tuned on and runs at 4K resolution capped at 30fps, and a Performance mode which drops the resolution to 1440p in order to hit 60fps. The visual difference between the two is only slight, and so most people opt to play in Performance mode considering timing is a vital part of Souls combat. Being able to have the full force of Cinematic mode at 60fps will be a treat if that’s what PS5 Pro delivers.
Diablo IV
Diablo 4 just received its first major expansion with Vesel of Hatred and now PlayStation confirmed that players on PS5 Pro will enjoy the game with new enhancements on day one.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
BioWare's first Dragon Age game in over a decade, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will take advantage of the more powerful PS5 Pro with additional enhancements.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
When it launched earlier this year, Dragon’s Dogma 2 was scrutinised for its choppy performance on console, with 60fps all but impossible to achieve. Sony has yet to detail what to expect from the confirmed PS5 Pro enhancement, but hopefully it brings the framerate up to 60fps so we can enjoy those giant monster battles exactly how they were meant to be. With any luck we’ll also be able to do that at 4K so we can see all the detail rendered by the impressive RE Engine.
Dying Light 2 Reloaded Edition
The zombie open world parkour game has been confirmed to take advantage of the upgraded PS5 Pro hardware on day one.
EA Sports FC 25
It's been two years since EA ditched the FIFA branding, but their soccer sim remains as popular as ever. The newest game in the series will also feature day one PS5 Pro enhancements for players.
Enlisted
Enlisted is a free-to-play World War 2 military shooter from the makers of War Thunder, the game with numerous classified document leaks. While the leaks are actively discouraged, Gaijin Entertainment confirmed that Enlisted will receive day one enhancements on PS5 Pro.
F1 24
Formula 1 fever is sweeping the United States thanks to shows like Drive to Survive on Netflix, and now Codemasters' newest F1 sim game is confirmed for day one enhancements on PS5 Pro.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Another 2024 game that suffered performance woes, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is frequently a graphical stunner but is locked in the 30fps jail cell. Shifting from fidelity to performance mode makes the combat run buttery smooth, but it comes at the cost of upsettingly blurry visuals. FF7 Rebirth is a game that deserves to be played in the best situation possible, so best to showcase its gorgeous world design and lovingly rendered characters, and hopefully the PS5 Pro upgrade will unlock its full potential.
Fortnite
Epic Games' massively popular battle royale game is confirmed to receive PS5 Pro enhancements just in time for the launch of Chapter 2, The Remix which sends players back to the game's second map, The Island.
God of War Ragnarok
Originally not included in the first batch of PS5 Pro enhanced games, Sony Santa Monica's God of War sequel is now confirmed to receive some kind of enhancement on PS5 Pro.
Gran Turismo 7
Gran Turismo 7 already looks pretty damn good on PS5 and runs at a slick 60fps, but on PS5 Pro the main focus looks to be ray tracing, especially between the cars as they race around the tracks. This was demonstrated when a bright yellow Corvette edged past a blue Porsche Cayman GT4, and you could clearly see the reflection of the Corvette in those blue body panels as it passed by. It looks nice, but $700 nice? That’s up to you to decide.
Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy was another game that really showcased the PS5 Pro’s improved ray-tracing capabilities, and when we walked through the doors to the Hogwarts' Great Hall I was almost dazzled by how shiny the stone floor was. In addition to more reflections, we’re promised a greater variety of reflective surfaces, a point that was made as a hippogriff flew gracefully over the Great Lake, the distant hills reflected in the icy waters. Lastly, the ray-tracing will benefit shadows too, promising greater realism.
Horizon Forbidden West
Guerilla Games’ Horizon Forbidden West was another first-party game showcased during the reveal that, thanks to the improvements of the PS5 Pro, promises to bridge the gap between Performance Mode and Fidelity Mode by taking full advantage of the improved GPU. During the presentation we saw Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 Pro with an improved level of graphical fidelity, from better lighting to more detailed skin and hair texture during cinematics.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
The first Horizon game, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, will also receive enhancements on PS5 Pro, though Guerrilla hasn't shared whether the enhancements will be the same as the ones coming to Horizon Forbidden West.
Kayak VR: Mirage
One of the highest-rated Kayak VR games around, Kayak VR: Mirage will receive PS5 Pro enhancements day one, but will require a PSVR 2 headest.
Lies of P
The Pinnocchio-themed soulslike was one of the best games of 2023 for action fans and now will feature enhancements on PS5 Pro.
Lords of the Fallen (2023)
Another well-regarded soulslike from 2023, Lords of the Fallen has been confirmed to receive PS5 Pro enhancements on day one.
Madden NFL 25
EA's annual Madden game has been added to the list of confirmed titles receiving day one PS5 Pro enhancements.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered
Insomniac confirmed that all four of its games, including Spider-Man: Remastered, will take advantage of the PS5 Pro's upgraded hardware. So far details of the improvements are only available for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
See above.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 is the benchmark to which all PS5 games aspire to, with high-end graphics and insane performance – but not necessarily at the same time. PlayStation architect Mark Cerny promises that, with the PS5 Pro, a game like Spider-Man 2 will no longer have to choose between performance or graphics, and that Spider-Man 2 will achieve high fidelity graphics at performance mode level of framerate, so you get all that gorgeous detail at a sweet 60fps.
Naraka: Bladepoint
NetEase's free-to-play wuxia action game is set to receive day one enhancements on PS5 Pro.
NBA2K 25
2K's annual basketball sim is the latest major sports title to receive enhancements on the PS5 Pro at launch.
No Man's Sky
Hello Games' massive space exploration game, No Man's Sky, will take advantage of the additional power from the PS5 Pro.
Palworld
After partnering with Sony for the console release of Palworld, Pocketpair's gun-toting creature game will also receive enhancements for the PS5 Pro at launch.
Paladin's Passage
The 2.5D medieval-themed platformer has been added to PlayStation's list of games confirmed to receive some enhancements on PS5 Pro.
Planet Coaster 2
The upcoming theme park sim will be released a day before the PS5 Pro, but will still get day one enhancements on Sony's upgraded hardware.
Professional Spirits Baseball 2024-2025
Konami's baseball sim is set to receive a boost when played on the PS5 Pro, though curiously enough there's no word yet on whether any improvements is coming to San Diego Studio's MLB The Show titles.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was an early PS5 technical marvel, highlighting in particular the kind of whiz-bang effects that were only achieved thanks to the faster SSD loaded in the base console. With the PS5 Pro’s promised improvements, we saw that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is now able to maintain that high level of performance and gameplay, while improving the graphics that took a hit to meet peak performance. We even see that the PS5 Pro can hit greater visual details while maintaining the same level of frames during Performance Mode.
Resident Evil 4
A pair of Capcom survival horror games will take advantage of the PS5 Pro's added power starting with the critically-acclaimed Resident Evil 4 remake.
Resident Evil Village
The other game to take advantage of the PS5 Pro is Resident Evil Village. Just imagining *that* scene on the PS5 Pro is enough to send a shiver down your spine.
Rise of the Ronin
Team Ninja's open-world samurai game, Rise of Ronin, will utilize the PS5 Pro in some capacity on day one.
Rogue Flight
Star Wars: Jedi Survivor
Respawn's Star Wars: Jedi Survivor wasn't initially announced for PS5 Pro enhancements, but it's now been officially confirmed the Jedi sequel will see some improvements on the new hardware.
Star Wars: Outlaws
Ubisoft's Star Wars: Outlaws was a bit buggy at launch, but there have been regular updates ever since. Now, it's also confirmed that there will be additional improvements for the game when played on PS5 Pro.
Stellar Blade
This year's big action game hit, Stellar Blade will also receive additional improvements on PS5 Pro.
Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown
The open world racing sim will feaature added improvements on PS5 Pro.
The Callisto Protocol
Krafton's space survival horror game pushed some consoles to the limits, but will take advantage of the added hardware power of the PS5 Pro on day one.
The Crew Motorfest
Ubisoft’s online racing game The Crew Motorfest was briefly shown during the montage of games that will be improved thanks to the PS5 Pro. While we don’t have any details on what those specific improvements are, the brief sizzle showed what looked to be improved reflections on the car surfaces, potentially meaning a similar visual improvement to Gran Turismo 7’s graphical upgrade, while maintaining 60fps.
The Finals
The reality TV show battle royale that turned heads with its vibrant style and graphics has been confirmed to take advantage of the PS5 Pro's upgraded hardware in some capacity.
The First Descendant
Nexon’s free-to-play MMORPG The First Descendant also appeared in the PS5 Pro montage, indicating that it too will receive performance and graphical upgrades with the new console. The clips shown during the sizzle were only from cinematic cutscenes, making it hard to determine what specific improvements will be added, but the PS5 Pro promises to bridge the gap between Performance and Fidelity Mode, so expect to see even greater graphical details while maintaining a consistent higher frame-rate.
The Last of Us Part I
There are fewer details about what changes to expect for The Last of Us Part I on PS5 Pro, but Sony and Naughty Dog have confirmed that both Last of Us games will take advantage of the new hardware.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered
During the presentation we saw a side-by-side comparison of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered running on PS5 Pro alongside the PS5 version in fidelity mode. The wooded environments Eliie explores look as sumptuous and detailed as ever on the Pro, but the key difference is the frame-rate – it runs at 60fps, which looks much smoother compared to the standard PS5 version running at a choppy 30fps. When the presentation compared the original’s performance mode, the difference in detail was obvious – it’s noticeably sharper on PS5 Pro. It’s another clear demonstration that the Pro will offer both high resolution visuals and a smooth framerate, if you’re willing to fork out $700.
Until Dawn
The recently remasatered version of Until Dawn will also take advantage of the PS5 Pro hardware on day one.
War Thunder
Warframe
The popular action MMO will take advantage of the PS5 Pro on day one.
World of Warship: Legends.
