Scarlet Witch is one of the most popular former Avengers because of her powerful and tragic story. She went from being a villain to a hero, then back to a villain, and her MCU journey ended with her sacrificing herself.

However, many believe she’s not truly gone—it’s hard to think someone as powerful as her would be taken out by debris from a collapsing temple, especially after what happened in Agatha All Along.

Wanda now has more reasons than ever to return to the MCU, and if the recent rumors are true, it could happen soon. We’ve heard that Scarlet Witch will play a big role in the upcoming Avengers movies and might even have a romantic connection with Doctor Doom.

This makes sense given their storyline in The Children’s Crusade, where Wanda’s son, Wiccan, and the Young Avengers search for her after the events of House of M, where she erased most of the mutant population. In that story, Doctor Doom helps Wanda regain her memories and powers, and it’s hinted that he may have a manipulative interest in her.

At one point, it’s revealed that Wanda and Doom were working together, with Doom claiming to have romantic feelings for her. However, this was more about his personal ambitions and desire for power than real love.

They form a short alliance, and Doom uses Wanda’s powers to try and gain control of powerful magical energy. This leads to disaster, as Doom’s hunger for power causes more chaos.

Now, it’s rumored that the MCU will adapt The Children’s Crusade story, with events from Agatha All Along supporting this idea. Popular insider channel Beyond the Trailer has shared new details about Wanda’s role and her connection to Doom in Avengers: Doomsday.

Reports suggest that Elizabeth Olsen will return as Earth-616’s Wanda Maximoff in Avengers: Doomsday, meaning she survived the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Wanda’s actions in the Multiverse, especially destroying the Darkhold, might attract Doctor Doom’s attention. While fans didn’t want Wanda to be a villain, Doom may try to manipulate or use her for his own goals.

Reports also mention possible solo films for Scarlet Witch and Wiccan, as well as a Young Avengers project, which we’ve been hearing about a lot lately. Plus, Aubrey Plaza is rumored to play Death in several Marvel projects.

It’s clear that Agatha All Along opened the door for big things for Scarlet Witch. Given how popular her storylines are, it makes sense the MCU will explore the magical and occult side even more.
