Jensen Ackles, known for his role as Dean Winchester in ‘Supernatural’ and as the voice of Batman, recently found himself the subject of a harsh social media critique. A post that surfaced online labeled him and other actors as ‘ugly men who are considered attractive because they are White.’ This caught the attention of fans and co-stars alike, leading to a flood of support for Ackles.

Among those who came to his defense was Misha Collins, who played the angel Castiel on ‘Supernatural.’ Collins, who is quite active on social media, encountered the offending post and responded directly. He told Ackles not to pay attention to such negativity, reminding him that ‘beauty is on the inside.’

The list of actors mentioned alongside Ackles included big names like Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Timothée Chalamet, Noah Centineo, Jeremy Allen White, Drake, Jacob Elordi, and Barry Keoghan. Each of these actors has a strong fan base, and many people were quick to call out the post for its problematic nature.

Collins has been a part of ‘Supernatural’ since season 4 and was initially intended for only a short stint. However, the positive reception from we fans made him a regular on the show. His role has expanded over the years, and he even directed an episode in season 9. Alongside Ackles and another co-star, Jared Padalecki, Collins is involved in the SPNFamily Crisis Support network. This organization helps those dealing with cyberbullying and other issues.

In another interesting tidbit from the ‘Supernatural’ set, during the filming of the episode titled ‘Monster Movie,’ co-star Todd Stashwick faced a nerve-wracking moment. He accidentally hit Ackles in the face while filming a fight scene. Stashwick played a villain who was supposed to hit Ackles’ character but miscalculated the move. He shared how mortified he was about the accident, especially given Ackles’ importance to the show.

It’s unlikely that Ackles will respond to the social media insult personally. He prefers not to give attention to negative comments. The social media account that posted the original message has been blocked by several fan pages, showing the strong support network Ackles has behind him.

In the world of TV and movies, it’s clear that looks can still be a hot topic for debate. But for many of us, it’s the talent and personality of actors like Jensen Ackles that truly define their appeal.
