Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce might soon be trading the football field for the concert stage, as rumors swirl that he could join girlfriend Taylor Swift at her Eras Tour performance in Miami, Florida, on October 18th at Hard Rock Stadium.
The 35-year-old tight end, who recently returned to Kansas City after a getaway with Swift in New York City, is now back at practice preparing for the Chiefs’ highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch against the San Francisco 49ers on October 20th.
Despite his rigorous training schedule, Kelce may still find time to jet off to Miami to support Swift during her tour stop.
Chiefs’ practices typically wrap up around 3:00 p.m., leaving Kelce enough time to hop on a plane and potentially arrive at Hard Rock Stadium by 6:00 p.m., just in time to relax in the VIP tent before Swift takes the stage.
On Wednesday morning, Kelce returned to his popular New Heights podcast, where he opened up about his whirlwind life with Swift. In the latest episode, Kelce chatted with guest Pat McAfee, discussing the surreal experience of meeting famous people through his relationship with the pop superstar.
“You can’t really comprehend what’s going on right now, so it’s like a dream,” Kelce shared. “You’re not surprised by the next thing that comes into your life or who walks through the door. It’s crazy, man. I don’t know how I’m supposed to live this stupid life, but I’m definitely blessed by it.”
Kelce also recounted his mixed feelings about attending the New York Yankees’ playoff game against the Cleveland Guardians with Swift on Monday night. As an Ohio native and lifelong Guardians fan, the game had him feeling a little out of place.
“The Yankees won 5-2, and I was screaming the whole time,” Kelce said. “I was in a hostile zone because it was the Bronx Bombers, and I was at Yankee Stadium in the playoffs. I was cheering for the Guards because I’m a Cleveland kid, and I want to see Cleveland win the damn World Series.”
Despite the Guardians’ loss, Kelce said he had a great time with Swift and their friends. “We had a great team with us, and it was fun even though the Guards couldn’t pull it off. It was still a fun, exciting game,” he recalled. “It was great to see Yankee Stadium in person, especially during a playoff game in a hostile environment. It didn’t disappoint, man.”
The couple spent the weekend together in New York City before Swift’s friend Gigi Hadid hinted on Tuesday that Kelce had returned to Kansas City to prepare for the upcoming game against the 49ers.
Meanwhile, Swift will continue her Eras Tour, with her Miami performances scheduled for October 18th and October 20th, coinciding with Kelce’s big game. With both stars managing packed schedules, fans are eagerly watching to see how the power couple balances their thriving personal and professional lives.
While Kelce continues to train for another potential Super Bowl run, Swift’s tour has been breaking records and attracting massive crowds across the country. Whether Kelce will make a brief stop in Miami to cheer on Swift remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the couple’s whirlwind romance is captivating fans both on and off the field.
