Pepsi has made Vinicius Jr., a star player for Real Madrid and Brazil, its newest global ambassador. He does this to follow in the path of Ronaldinho, his fellow Brazilian and inspiration. The series, which was made with Art of Football, is a nod to the brand’s football ads from the early 2000s.
Pepsi and football have a long and nostalgic history together, thanks to over 20 years of famous football ads. football stars from around the world, including Beckham, Henry, Totti, Roberto Carlos, and, of course, Ronaldinho, will run through train stops, medieval battlefields, and other places. Even though it has a lot of famous people, talented people, and guests, the latest TV ad, “Nutmeg Royale,” is a throwback to some of the brand’s most memorable early ads.
That happened 20 years ago, and to remember that time, Pepsi worked with football artists to make a collection that was also the perfect way to introduce Vinicius Jr. as the company’s newest global brand ambassador.
The Golden Cabane collection, which came out the year before the Pepsi x [AoF] collection, had retro-styled things that honored Pepsi’s famous football competition that began 20 years ago. Accessories from the line with two or more brands on them include bucket hats, shoulder bags, and tote bags. The look is finished off with a copy of Pepsi’s football shirts from the early 2000s.
