Jennifer Lopez’s ex

Jennifer Lopez’s first husband Ojani Noa placed some of the blame on Sean “Diddy” Combs for the dissolution of his marriage with the singer-actress.

The actor and producer went on Despierta America on October 18 where he talked about his divorce from J.Lo and how the disgraced music mogul played a part in that. In the interview he said, according to Marca, “Part of that divorce was Diddy’s fault.”

“When Sony came and paid her the millions she got, there was Puffy, who was going to be one of the producers of several tracks on the first album On The 6. That’s where the cheating, the lies, the separation started,” Ojani explained.

“I was in Los Angeles opening my restaurant and she was between Miami and New York working on the album. When I could, I would go to be with her. There, in that distance, in that separation, was where the cheating started,” he continued.

Ojani and J.lo married in February 1997 and divorced in January 1998. In August 2007, the two got into a legal battle when Ojani had plans to publish a tell-all book detailing his claims of J.Lo having numerous affairs when they were together. The Hustlers star took him to court and won. She was awarded $545,000 against Ojani and there was a permanent injunction against him issued by a court-ordered arbitrator prohibited him from “criticizing, denigrating, casting in a negative light or otherwise disparaging” Jennifer.

He mentioned that incident and accused J.Lo of wrecking his career opportunities in the aftermath of their divorce.

“I would ask Jennifer: what did I do to you so that you have taken me to court, you have accused me, you have lied, you have created false things about me and you have called several companies to throw me out and different television networks not to give me work,” he said. “Why, if I have not done anything to you? Let her tell the truth, let her tell everything that happened.”

Furthermore in the interview, he expressed support for Ben Affleck, who J.Lo filed for divorce from in August. He also stated that he never went to one of Diddy’s notorious parties.

Diddy and J.Lo dated from 1999 to 2001. The On the Six singer has not spoken yet about the allegations or his arrest. The 54-year-old rapper was arrested and indicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution on September 16. He has plead not guilty to the charges and is currently incarcerated in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. Diddy has also denied all the allegations against him.
