Footage of woman's head literally steaming from menopause has people saying 'every man needs to see this'

People in the comments called for more awareness around menopause

People online have rallied behind a woman after a video circulated showing her in the midst of a hot flash.

A rather peculiar video has begun circulating on social media and has had some men scratching their heads over what is going on.

In contrast, some women knew exactly what was happening and offered words of support.

The clip in question shows a woman in the bleachers of a football stadium with steam coming off of her head.

The video was initially shared on the TikTok page of Pleezebfree, real name Tracey Monique, and has got a whole lot of people talking about menopause.Women offered kind words to the woman in the video steaming from her head(Getty Stock Image)

The reason? Well, Monique explained that the reason she was quite literally steaming while everyone else seemed perfectly fine was because she was dealing with a hot flash/hot flush.

Menopause occurs in women naturally as they age and marks the end of their reproductive years and hot flashes can be a common symptom.

Writing in a caption she said: “Hot and Hungry. Hot flashes are annoying and rude.”

In the video, off camera, a friend can be heard joking about it, making Monique smile as she continued to steam.

According to British Health Insurance company Bupa, hot flashes are a normal symptom of menopause but can be quite unpleasant for those suffering from them.

While they can vary in severity from person to person, in general a person suffering from it is described as getting a ‘sudden feeling of heat spreading through your body and face’.

Other symptoms include: “A red flush spreading across your chest, neck, face and head sweating.

“Changes in your mood and a lack of concentration.”

People went as far as to say more men needed to see the video to get an understanding of the symptom.

One user wrote: “Every man needs to see this, so they don’t think their wives are being dramatic when they say they are having a hot flash.”

Others remarked on how their partners had struggled to understand the symptom or its potential severity.

Another commented: “Dude I was seeing when it first started getting bad thought I was exaggerating until he saw my ears turn beet red when a hot flash hit.”

A third added: “Going to show my husband. I have been dealing with this for over 3 years so far. It’s not fun.”

With another joking: “Let him assume I’m being dramatic lmao cause if I’m on fire then I DOUBLE DOG DARE HIM to find out that consequence.”
