The Kansas City Chiefs seem to be going all in on being the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowl championships. As a result, the Chiefs have already completed a few trades to bolster their roster before the deadline.
Their major acquisition was adding DeAndre Hopkins to boost an injured wide receiving corps. Despite the addition of Hopkins, the Chiefs could still use a bit more help while Rashee Rice and JuJu Smith-Schuster are out.
The time is ticking to add that help, though, as the trade deadline is just over 24 hours away. One receiver the Chiefs could get for fairly cheap is former Chief DeMarcus Robinson.
Robinson caught a game-winning touchdown for the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, which prompted Patrick Mahomes to send out a tweet with red exclamation marks.

Chiefs news: Patrick Mahomes could push to get Demarcus Robinson before the trade deadline
While extrapolating that Mahomes is demanding the Chiefs trade for Robinson from this tweet is crazy, Robinson could help the team. Robinson was drafted by the Chiefs in 2016 and spent six seasons with the team.
From 2018 to 2021, Robinson was one of Mahomes receiving targets. In that time, Robinson had 114 receptions on 188 targets (60% catch rate) for 1,467 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.
Not only will Robinson provide another sure-handed target for Mahomes, but he also knows the system. That allows Robinson to be immediately integrated into the game plan with a high volume of targets.
If the Chiefs do acquire Robinson before the trade deadline, then Mahomes’ tweet from Sunday was a red herring.
