Multiple players are said to have suffered frostbite during Saturday night’s playoff showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins at Arrowhead Stadium.
The game was the fourth-coldest in NFL history with minus-zero temperatures and a wind chill of negative-30. Reports note that 15 fans were hospitalized, with some treated for hypothermia and others for frostbite.
The latter wasn’t limited to the fans as A.Q. Shipley has revealed that all of the players who weren’t wearing sleeves on the night got frostbitten.
“I think some people got some frostbite,” Shipley revealed during ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ on Wednesday. “We heard anyone who wasn’t wearing sleeves. I think on both sides. It was -30. That’s so cold. That’s what I heard from sources.”

Given that Shipley, a former center, has connections all around the league, having played for the Steelers, Eagles, Colts, Ravens, Cardinals, and Buccaneers, he probably knows what he’s saying.
The Chiefs haven’t confirmed this story, however.
