Daredevil: Born Again is just a few months away, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. The show will bring back familiar characters, with Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Elden Henson as Foggy, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen.
The original version of Daredevil: Born Again was canceled after filming nearly half of the episodes because it didn’t capture the right tone and lacked enough action. It was planned to be more of a courtroom drama with very little Daredevil action.
After the show went through major changes and additional reshoots, it was confirmed multiple times that the new version now has a tone (and action) closer to Netflix’s original series. The latest teaser trailer confirms this shift.
The latest teaser features Matt and Kingpin talking about Matt’s transformation, with Kingpin mentioning the darkness within him. The teaser also includes glimpses of Matt in action.
The official synopsis for the show reads:
Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.
The first season will consist of nine episodes. Originally, the series was planned to have 18 episodes, split into two parts, before a second season was confirmed.
Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025, as part of Phase Five of the MCU. Have any thoughts? Let us know in the comments below!
