Is Scarlet Witch coming back or not? That is one of the major questions that the MCU fans have right now and we can understand why they are concerned. Wanda is a major character and a proper fan-favorite for many reasons, and she is supposedly “gone” (whatever that means), the fans want to see her back in the MCU.

The theories and rumors about her return are running rampant, as you can assume. We initially heard that a solo movie was in development, only for the idea – supposedly – to end up scrapped.

Then, new rumors about Wanda’s major role in the upcoming Avengers movies appeared, and while we don’t really know anything, it is fair to say that everything points to Wanda coming back.

And while the character did not make an appearance in Agatha All Along, as some assumed, the series did create a perfect opportunity for Wanda in the future, as it might have picked her villain for a potential solo movie!

Namely, we know that Wanda supposedly died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and that her “corpse” was supposedly seen in Agatha All Along.

But the series never said she was dead, only “gone,” whatever that means; it turned out that the choice of words was intentional, as we have explained.

Now, many expected Wanda to make a comeback in the series, but that did not happen, yet the rumors about her return are louder than ever. Even the actress herself has hinted at coming back, although no one has provided us with any precise information and we are going absolutely crazy about it.

But, while we’re waiting for at least some form of confirmation, we have found an interesting theory on ScreenRant that explains how Agatha All Along might have set up a future Scarlet Witch project without even including Wanda in the series, and it is a fairly interesting one.

The theory is related to Lady Death, also known as Rio Vidal, who was played by Aubrey Plaza in the series. The character was a breakout persona from the series, and everyone absolutely loved her despite her sinister nature.

You remember how Lady Death called Billy an abomination that contradicted the “sacred order”? Well, it is this fact that could be used as a fuel feud that could be the central topic of a Scarlet Witch solo movie in the future, our colleagues at ScreenRant claim.

The idea is that Lady Death is angry at Wanda because of her ability to create souls out of thin air; this is how she created Billy and Tommy, so she is indirectly responsible for the death of Billy Kaplan and the birth of Wiccan, whom Lady Death Despises, as we have explained.

Now, Wanda is “gone,” but if a solo movie ends up being made, she will have to come back to life, and that resurrection could fuel even more hatred in Lady Death, as Wanda would have once again cheated the natural laws, which is something that Death would not like.

Considering how Wanda’s solo adventure would, at least initially, be detached from the main MCU storyline, this hatred could actually be a perfect catalyst for a great story in which Lady Death would clash with Wanda, and the two of them would end up fighting in the movie.

This would also account for the return of both Agatha and Wiccan, which is also something that the fans love.

Ultimately, this is just a theory, but a theory that was interesting for us to share with you. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
