‘Spider-Man 4’ was announced over a year ago, but only recently was Destin Daniel Cretton confirmed as the director, with Tom Holland and Zendaya reportedly in the process of re-negotiating their contracts.

Details about the plot are still under wraps, but recent rumors suggest the film will dive into a Multiversal storyline, potentially bringing back Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire for another web-slinging team-up.

Every week seems to bring new rumors of yet another villain being added to ‘Spider-Man 4,’ from Green Goblin and Hobgoblin to Knull, who is rumored to appear in both ‘Venom 3’ and as the main antagonist in the upcoming Spider-Man film.

However, Knull is expected to be the “big bad.” Recent scoops from MyTimeToShineHello suggest that two smaller villains have already been cast to serve as the “intro” threats before Knull takes center stage.

Based on previous speculation, these villains could be Vulture and Scorpion. Interestingly, Michael Keaton recently mentioned in an interview that no one has approached him yet about reprising his role as Vulture in ‘Spider-Man 4,’ so take that into account.

These new villain rumors surface just as Tom Holland teases a big announcement, having updated his Instagram bio to “announcement tomorrow.” Fans are now left to speculate what could be officially confirmed soon.

Early rumors suggested that ‘Spider-Man 4’ would focus on a street-level story featuring Kingpin as a key antagonist in a showdown with Peter Parker. However, after the MCU decided to scrap Kang and introduce Downey’s Doctor Doom as the next major villain in the Multiversal Saga, the film’s focus reportedly shifted.
