The news that Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still, after several months, one of the most talked-about topics among the fans, who are vehemently debating Doom’s role in the upcoming projects.
This bombastic piece of news had everyone talking about Downey and the MCU’s future once again, which – of course – made fans happy because they had something to look forward to as far as the MCU’s future was concerned.
Although there has been no official word on how the MCU will handle both Doctor Doom and Downey simultaneously without undermining the legacy it has established in relation to Downey’s Iron Man, fans have been proposing numerous theories, some of which are more credible than others.
In this report, we are going to discuss another fan theory – we found on Instagram – that connects Downey’s Doctor Doom with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki in a very interesting way, suggesting that the God of Mischief is in for a very grim fate.

There are many theories out there attempting to redefine the movie’s storyline. However, what we’ve gathered is something unimaginable: the involvement of #GodLoki (aka #Loki) and #RobertDowneyJr portraying #DoctorDoom.
So far, Doctor Doom’s goal in Doomsday seems to be the capture of the remaining universe and multiverse to build a #Battleworld, as seen in the comics.
This is definitely an interesting take, and it is not improbable in any way; it actually makes a lot of sense, but it is just one of the ways in which the MCU could handle these two characters. Here’s what the fans are saying:
OMFG, this would be so good!!!! I want Thor to find his brother and to see that he is alive and see all the good he ended up doing. Saving all universes. In DC, the hero becomes the villain. In Marvel the Villain becomes the Hero in the biggest way possible. (Big Loki fan here!!!)
